Kate & Ankur | University of Pennsylvania Engagement Session

Talk about college changing your life!  Kate and Ankur met for the very first time at Russell Dining Hall at the University of Delaware!  It was obviously meant to be.  This encounter brought two people together who would work through the college years, post degrees finding jobs, graduate school and establishing careers—together. They have been through so many stages of life with each other, Ankur decided to move to the next level and propose!

These two are just made for each other and it is so evident in their images that they have a strong relationship.  A brief rundown of Ankur’s romantic weekend proposal includes a home-made dinner (cooked by him), wine, candles, rose petals, “the” ring with the proposal on one knee and, as if that wasn’t already spectacular, planning for both sets of parents to be in town after the proposal so they could all celebrate together the next day!  What a romantic, thoughtful weekend!

Part of their session I took at One Shot Coffee and Cafe because it is a favorite coffee and book-reading spot in the city. The other part of their session I took in the gardens at the University of Pennsylvania where Kate works. Both Kate and Ankur are looking forward to starting their lives together as husband and wife, but are also really excited to get dancing at the reception—that and Kate can’t wait to wear her dress!
